thanks so much for your insight and contribution.  As in many cases, lessons for the future come from China.  Mass customization is a long-offerred promise that is indeed coming our way.  I think you are also right that we may be on the edge of a new wave of disintermediation.  Makes me think of the widely acclaimed article &quot;unblundling the corporation.&quot; Its now 10 years old - maybe it needs to be updated in the world of social networking.
